His professional surfing career extended for over 10 years, and he was ranked #5 in the world. XL Surfing Academy is very much a Sunshine Coast family legacy with Robbie and Carlene’s two sons Josh and Joel both accomplished & recognized surfers in their own right. The Sherwells, along with a dynamic and super-qualified team of coaches, managers and crew—live, breathe and are passionate about surfing and helping others develop their skills and love of surfing too.
