Students will develop the following skills in their chosen instrument:
Beginner (30 minutes) - Technical development including repertoire.
Intermediate (30/45 minutes) - Technical development, repertoire and optional "Introduction to Composition and Improvisation" as well as exam preparation.
Advanced (30/45/60 minutes) - Technical development, repertoire, composition, improvisation, and exam preparation.
In a term lesson, depending on skill level, expect to develop a variety of technical skills including reading music and learning notes; arrangements, dynamics and expressive techniques; time signatures, rhythm and pattern; scales, arpeggios and exercises; and to develop appropriate repertoire to skill level to showcase development.
